Have you backed up your iPhone to iCloud or to a computer?
It happens every fall: Right on the heels of Apple announcing another $1,000 phone, the company releases a major operating system update that make even older iPhones feel refreshed. This time of year has been dubbed “The Crashing” here at the shop.If the software crashes during an iOS 13 update, you will end up with the symbol pictured above. If you didn’t back up your iPhone, your data will be lost!
Software crashes are always a part of a new iOS release – if you are faced with a software crash during an iOS 13 update, book an appointment for repair:
Loss of your precious data is totally avoidable with a backup!! However if you haven’t backed up in a while, we can still recover your data, book an appointment anyways.
The iOS 13 update officially dropped on September 19th, and it’s filled with some cool features, including a brand new dark mode and a special iPad version called iPadOS. But as with all big Apple software updates, a new iOS means some devices will become obsolete and no longer work with the upgraded software versions.
Apple Devices not supported by iOS 13:
Original iPad Air
iPhone 6 and Older
iPad mini 3 and Older
6th-Gen iPod Touch and Older
Be sure not to upgrade these older devices if they are still actively in use 🙂
